Banana peels (from Mario Kart) are replaced with giant things that look like pufferfish. Really, there's no violence in this game. If you think Mario Kart is violent, (which it isn't) then this is violent. Sonic games don't usually have much in the way of language, other than the fact that slang words like Heck and Dang are used occasionally. Voice won't do the trick, because voice means the announcer, as he can get a little annoying over time. And you can also avoid this by going to settings, and turning off Sound Effects. So, for all of you Shadow fans, I'm deeply sorry for you. And this can be completely avoided by choosing to never even unlock Shadow. You can tell if he's about to say it if he gets 3 ice rays. I've never heard him say it, which tells me that him saying it is extremely rare. Thankfully, the skeleton is barely noticable in the actual race, and the giant monster creatures aren't super creepy, but don't look like things you'd see in real life.įor all of you fans of Shadow the Hedgehog (I don't want to offend anyone, but I personally don't see what's so lovable about Shadow.) I'm very sad to say this, but according to a place online it says he's the only character in the entire game to say "d*mn." I've played this game many hours, and even with Shadow. (Note, it's not terrible, but one could say it looks like that, and I'm referring to the Biblical place called Hell, or Haties if you prefer.) This track is one of the things that makes me very disappointed by this game. One track is very creepy, called "Adder's Lair." In it, it's got a few creepy monsters, lava, and the main attraction being a gigantic skeleton which from the selection screen is shown moving it's head very slowly making it look extremely creepy. This is where family friendliness comes into question. I don't know this for sure, but judging by a couple of racetrack themes, it makes me leorie of these other characters. I doubt a lot of the characters from these other franchises are good role-models, or have much in the way of being good guys. The rest are from various Sega franchises, and some from non-sega franchises. You can only play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Amy, Eggman, and Metal Sonic.I think that's about it. And not only that, but most Sonic characters are missing. I was really disappointed with this game because most of it's race-tracks have nothing to do with sonic. Sonic games tend to take on more realistic vibes than Mario games do. But it's less family friendly than Mario Kart. But, is the game family friendly?Įssentially, yes, it's family friendly. So we've covered gameplay, which it's totally awesome if you like mario kart. The graphics are awesome, for their time, (even today they look really nice, but don't have anything like Ray Tracing which is where it realistically simulates light.) Mario Kart tracks tend to be short, but these tracks tend to be fairly lengthy. Each track can take a few minutes to complete. Such as time attack, drift challenges, traffic attack, Verses, and so many more really fun modes. It comes with various modes other than regular mario-kart racing. The Transform mechanic makes the game way more interesting. It may sound like it's got a cheap gimmick, it really isn't. This is the first and only Sonic Racing Game I've ever played. Sonic and Allstars Racing Transformed has similarities to Mario Kart, but it takes Mario Kart's power-up system and makes improvements on virtually everything. NOTE: This is the PC/Steam version review which has high-end graphics, but it's essentially the same as other ports.

If it is an actual drawing (such as a scan of an as-built plan or survey) then it will have the same scale on the layout as when it was originally created. letter-size (8 ½” x 11″) it will appear on the layout with those dimensions. When PDFs are placed onto a Layout sheet, they size automatically to match their original print size. PDFs are good for graphics, reference and printing, while DWGs may be used for tracing or measurement (e.g., surveys, as-builts, etc.). This contrasts with DWG files inserted with the Place External Drawing command, since their CAD linework can be precisely used. TIP: PDFs do not have internal snap sensitivity, so although you can see the lines, you cannot snap to them. The placed PDF may be a vectorial graphic (in which case it is resolution-independent and will print smoothly regardless of resizing) or a bit-mapped image (such as a rendering or photograph) that will be subject to the usual limitations of any bitmap file. The white boundary inside shows the outline of the void left after cutting out a hole to omit one of the drawings in the PDF image. In the above illustration, the green area is the PDF drawing (highlighted in green because it is selected). Holes can even be cut to omit parts of the Drawing, using the Subtract from Polygon option from the Editing palette, as shown below. It has a polygon-based boundary frame which can be manually resized in order to crop the page image. It is linked to the original source PDF file, and using the Drawing Manager may be kept up to date semi-automatically. Once the PDF is placed as a Drawing, it acts like any other non-CAD graphic. TIP: If placing PDFs and other external content is a frequent part of your work process, you can create a keyboard shortcut for that command in the Options menu > Work Environment > Keyboard Shortcuts. (You can however select multiple PDFs in the Place Drawing dialog box, and place them in one step.) This means that to place pages 1 through 5 of a document, you will have to do five separate Place External Drawing commands. However, unlike some areas in ArchiCAD that allow placing multiple files at the same time (by dragging and dropping, or by selecting multiple items in a list), you cannot place multiple pages at the same time. All the OptionsĪny page of a PDF file, be it textual or vectorial drawing, may be imported into the Floor Plan, or any Section/Elevation Window, Detail Drawing, Worksheet or Layout. The PDF import option resolved all of these issues, and provides a far superior and more general solution for ArchiCAD users. This technology was problematic in several ways: it had become PC only, as it was never made available by Microsoft for developers in Mac OS X it only handled a single page image and it required the Microsoft software and source document to be available on the computer that had the Plotmaker file. This was frequently used to place schedules as well as lengthy text blocks. TIP: It is also possible to drag and drop a PDF from a folder directly into the frontmost ArchiCAD window.īefore version 10, ArchiCAD on the Windows side supported Microsoft’s OLE technology, allowing users to embed spreadsheets and word processing documents into PlotMaker layouts. Placing a PDF is actually a special case of the File menu > External Content > Place External Drawing command, which can be used to place many different CAD file types such as DWG, DXF, DGN, HPGL, PLT as well as standard image formats such as JPG, TIF, etc. General notes, specifications or other long paper documents can be prepared in a word processor or dedicated environment and printed or saved to PDF, as can schedules and other spreadsheets. Manufacturer’s detail drawings, reports from consultants (such as California’s Title 24 energy analysis), and a variety of forms are often made available as PDFs. Legacy paper-based drawings as well as other documents and images can be scanned and saved in PDF format for placement and reuse. Any program that prints can create PDF files, either internally or by using Adobe’s Acrobat software (or other free or inexpensive utilities widely available on the internet). This opened up many options for bringing 2D information into ArchiCAD. Starting in May 2006 with version 10, ArchiCAD users gained the ability to import industry-standard PDF format files. The FG-116 sounds great on everything like lead vocals, drums, and bass guitars. From its trademark timing characteristics to the extremely musical sound of its transformer, the FG-116 will give engineers the musical and fat tone that has made the hardware so famous. No expense was spared to capture every nuance of this classic sounding compressor/limiter. The FG-116 is the most precise digital replication of the classic American FET limiter. It is great for surgical cutting strokes, or wide bell and shelf strokes for making drums and guitars punch out of the speakers. This is the ultimate workhorse mix eq that can be used on any track. This equalizer also has rich harmonics and interactive mid bands with a fat musical tone. The FG-S is a digital recreation of one of the most famous British console equalizers from the 80’s. It sounds great on everything from drums to vocals, and can even add the perfect saturation to synth and electronic tracks. The original model only contained one mid band, so we thought it would be nice to double it so that it has two mid bands. All aspects of the circuit are modeled, including the rich harmonics and saturations that naturally occur when the equalizer is in use. The FG-N is a digital recreation of one of the most classic discrete Class A British equalizers from the 70’s. Audition signal chains faster, easier, and in real time with the Slate ‘VMR’. Moving modules around is easy, fast, and creates no break in audio playback. Chain an EQ before or after your compressor. Mix and match filters from different EQs. This allows you customize your own channel strip, with signal flow following the modules, in any order you choose. The ‘VMR’ operates as a Virtual 500 series rack with hot-swappable modules, putting your whole processing chain in ONE WINDOW. Virtual Mix Rack includes four world class mix modules, including two classic equalizers and two versatile mix compressors, with more modules to be developed. The appeal of ePSXe is that, unlike what happens with emulators for other machines (like PCSX2 for PlayStation 2), it doesn’t require a Bios to function, meaning you just need to keep an eye on the graphics calibration to adjust it to the power of your machine and, where appropriate, the mapping of the controls if you’re using a gamepad (which is more than advisable). ePSXe is the best PlayStation emulator out there for PC, and can be easily configured to make the games look much better than on the original machine. Character writing takes a backseat to both plot and action, but every single character is still interesting in a unique way. I'm finding myself so invested in the backstories and motives of all my favorite Kanto Gym Leaders, and I'm loving the ways they all connect. The politics of the Pokémon world and the responsibilities of Gym Leaders are explored in a way that I never realized I wanted to know. It really feels like a deep dive into the world of the games in a way that no other medium has quite captured, and it brings the games to life with anime logic, adorable Pokémon, and a whole lot of personality. This first volume follows Red (from the games, essentially) on his adventure through the world and story of the first Pokémon Red game. This story feels much more inspired by the handhelds than the anime, which is a pleasant change of pace. It really feels like a deep dive into the world of the games in a way that no other medium has quite captured, and it brings the games to life with anime logic, adorable Pokémo A charming reinterpretation of the world and lore from the original Game Boy games. A charming reinterpretation of the world and lore from the original Game Boy games. So what's the deal? What is "In Your Eyes" all about, anyway? Let's investigate. The video feels like a departure from the otherwise pop-driven song. The video for " In Your Eyes" is like an 80s slasher film, in which The Weeknd lurks in the shadows with a knife while a bloodied girl frantically tries to escape. The most ambitious tracks include " Heartless," " Blinding Lights," and "In Your Eyes." The Weeknd further stretched his creative legs by releasing interesting music videos to go along with the singles. Nevertheless, The Weeknd and his fans love the album. The Weeknd's 'Starboy' music video has hit the internet, and, unsurprisingly, the video is filled with gritty sequences, haunting images of Los Angeles, and gorgeous cars. People told me I was going to get nominated. I'm not a cocky person," he told Billboard in 2021. Like, 'What happened?' We did everything right, I think. The Weeknd found himself wrapped up in a bit of drama when he called the Grammys "corrupt" after failing to receive any nominations for After Hours, per BuzzFeed. However, just because the album was both a commercial and critical success (it debuted at #1, according to The New York Times) and landed on plenty of " Best of 2020" lists) that doesn't mean that the industry loved it as much as fans did. After Hours - The Weeknd's latest album - was released to critical success in 2020, which is probably how the artist ended up headlining the 2021 Superbowl halftime show.
and he is behind by quite a few builds already, this 0.64.16 is from december 2018 ! More than 1 year late. I can attach the fixed binary to this post, but you should really send a message to the maintainer. He used x86_64, which is not a good idea, 0.64.16 is 32 bits only ! Anyway he should just have used the default cpuinfo instead of trying to change it. and it was even in the source archive he used, I checked. Actually this file is forced to pentium3 in git since 2016. I can ony confirm it shouldn't happen.Įdit 2 : found the cause, I looked into the build directory, it's just that he forces an optimization for "generic" cpus, and apparently there is something there not appreciated in the build. I'd say rebuild in debug mode and run it from gdb, but here you can't do that with that binary, post to the maintainer then. I'll eventually try it, but it's an optimized build without debug symbols so it's hard to guess what went wrong here.)Įdit : I tested it, and I confirm the crash, I would say it seems linked to the sound, but not sure without a debug build, there is no message to see, just a crash as soon as the game tries to emit a sound (after the neogeo bios logo). (I'd like to give a link to the aur package on the download package, but I'll avoid to do that if it crashes on things like that. Well I'd say it's probably a build problem actually there since as you say the windows version works well here, if it was only neocd I would say a problem with sdl_sound, but since there is neogeo also in it, I am not sure.Įventually drop a message to the maintainer of the package and you can tell him to post here if he needs. It's a little outdated, still using 0.64.16 here, but I didn't tag git for 0.91 yet, and there are big changes in the way it's built for 0.90 so it's no big surprise. Hey thanks for the info, I use arch too and didn't even think about checking raine package in aur ! |
